Anatomy Trains Myofascial Meridians - A Revolution in Soft-Tissue Patterning

Anatomy Trains® maps the 'anatomy of connection' - the whole-body fascial and myofascial linkages. Anatomy Trains links the individual muscles into functional complexes, each with a specific anatomy and 'meaning'. Anatomy Trains leads to new holistic strategies for health professionals, movement teachers, and athletes to resolve complex postural and movement patterns.

Anatomy Trains Myofascial Meridians gives you a new understanding of whole-body patterning in posture and function - the interplay of movement and stability. Understanding the 'Superficial Back Line' as a whole gives insights into hamstring problems that you cannot get from considering the hamstrings alone. The 'Spiral Line' shows how to resolve rotational compensations in a way that no analysis of any single muscle can give.

In a larger sense, this Anatomy Trains website is an on-going inquiry into the significance of form and shape - how we make patterns, and the limits of change and development with new 'in-form-ation'. From the individual cell to the social and cultural context, we are interested in morphogenesis, as well as morphostasis and morphokinesis - how we take form, how we get stuck, and how we mature and grow out of such restrictions.

 Foreword

Anatomy Trains is rapidly being taken up by many health professions - osteopathy, chiropractic, physical therapy, acupuncture, massage therapy, bodywork, somatics, yoga, and personal training of all types, as well as by athletes and savvy consumers - to effect lasting changes in body structure and movement.

On this site, you can explore Anatomy Trains concepts via the Anatomy Trains book, a library of supporting research, articles, links, DVDs and other supporting products; join Facebook discussion; search a complete calendar of Anatomy Trains courses and events; or learn about Tom Myers, the author of Anatomy Trains, and the teaching staff.

And of course you can read how Anatomy Trains got started.

Also on this site, you can explore KMI - Kinesis Myofascial Integration - an application of the Anatomy Trains schema to Structural Integration. Here you can search for KMI practitioners, learn about professional training and certification in KMI, and view the calendar of KMI classes and events.

Additionally, this site contains 'big picture' explorations of Fascial Tensegrity, Spatial Medicine, and KQ (Kinesthetic Intelligence and Physical Education for the 21st century).

Anatomy Trains and KMI are both projects of Kinesis, Inc.

What is the relationship between KMI and Anatomy Trains?

And finally, is your organization interested in sponsoring an Anatomy Trains class?

Interior Architectures

In this new DVD, Dr Guimberteau uses an HD camera, with images that are sharper, more detailed, stunningly beautiful, and absolutely work-changing. This DVD couples well with 'Muscle Attitudes', which emphasizes the myofascia.
